The surprising prediction of the year comes from Peter Newton Lartey, who expresses disbelief in foreseeing the Hearts of Oak team securing a top-four finish.

Sports pundit and video analyst Peter Newton Lartey has expressed skepticism about the current Accra Hearts of Oak squad finishing in the top four of the 2023-24 Ghana Premier League. Speaking on Kessben TV's Midfield Action sports show, Lartey emphasized that he would be surprised if the current Hearts of Oak team manages to secure a top-four position.

Lartey believes that the overall quality of the Hearts team falls below expectations, making it highly unlikely for them to finish in the top four by the end of the league season. He points out that a club of Accra Hearts of Oak's stature should not be struggling to score only 11 goals after 14 games, which he considers subpar for competitive play.

Additionally, Lartey suggests that Accra Hearts of Oak has relied on its reputation and name to some extent, instilling fear in opponents. However, based on their current style of play and performance, he doubts their ability to secure a top-four finish in the league.
