Ablekuma West is facing political turmoil as calls for new leadership grow.

In a surprising development, the traditionally strong New Patriotic Party (NPP) stronghold of Ablekuma West is facing internal challenges, prompting a call for fresh leadership. Once a key bastion for the party, this constituency, carved out of Ablekuma South before the 2012 general election, is now experiencing a period of uncertainty.

Ursula Owusu, initially embraced as a calm and respected candidate aiming to revive the constituency's spirit, is now causing concern among the people of Ablekuma West. Despite winning support initially due to her association with the late Hon. Amarley Tagoe and the party, the recent parliamentary election witnessed an unexpected decline of 3,000 votes for the NPP, raising doubts about the current leadership's effectiveness.

In response to the discontent, delegates are urging Hon. Roni Nicole to intervene and salvage the deteriorating Ablekuma West seat. The consensus is that a new candidate with strong leadership qualities, capable of unifying delegates and party executives, is vital for the NPP to retain the constituency.

The desired candidate should exhibit traits such as selflessness, ambition, humility, vision, and a robust work ethic. Hon. Roni Nicole, known for a commendable track record in a short time in government, is viewed as a potential source of optimism for the constituency.

As Ablekuma West stands at a critical juncture, the quest for fresh leadership intensifies, with the constituency anticipating a new era characterized by stability and progress. The outcome of this search is poised to significantly impact the political dynamics of the region and carry implications for the NPP.
