Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo are both on the FIFPRO 2023 Men's World 11 shortlist, which consists of 23 players.
During the 2023 voting session, the seasoned pair said adieu to European football, with Messi joining Inter Miami in the Major League Soccer and Ronaldo joining Al Nassr in the Saudi Pro League.
After a record-breaking season with treble-winning Manchester City, Haaland has also been nominated, and other well-known names include Virgil van Dijk, Jude Bellingham, and Kylian Mbappe.
On January 15, during The Best FIFA Football Awards in London, the starting lineup will be revealed.
More than 28,000 players voted to choose this year's starting lineup, with FIFPRO taking first place as the only prize that is selected only by players in the professional ranks.
Three defenders, three midfielders, three strikers and one custodian make up the squad. The outfielder who still has the most votes is guaranteed the last berth.
