CADEG applauds the work of the Chief Imam and the Christian community in putting the 'Import Restrictions Bill' on hold.

The Chamber of Automobile Dealership Ghana (CADEG) has praised the National Chief Imam, Osmanu Nuhu Sharubutu, the Presbyterian Council of Ghana, the Pentecostal Council of Ghana, the Catholic Bishop Conference, and the National Peace Council, as well as other faith-based organisations and leaders, for advocating for and achieving the suspension of the import limits oversight.

"The Bill's suspension demonstrates the effectiveness of our collective efforts and the strength of our advocacy, which was supported by your Eminence." "Your commitment to ensuring that the automotive industry's concerns were heard and considered throughout the process has significantly contributed to the positive outcome we've achieved," the message said again.

It also stated: "As we continue to work towards well-balanced and sustainable importation policies, we recognise and appreciate the pivotal role you have played in this journey" .

"Your support has been crucial in upholding the interests of the industry and promoting fair and equitable trade opportunities," the group stated in a statement.

Collaboration

CADEG also anticipated the government's ongoing participation and collaboration as they faced future difficulties.

The Chamber attributed the suspension of the Import Restrictions Constitutional Instrument (CI) to collaborative efforts and instrumental support in fostering an informed dialogue with key stakeholders, according to a joint statement signed by Nana Adu Bonsu Agyekum, President of CADEG, and Mr Eddie Kusi Ankomah, National Chairman.

"Your commitment to our shared cause has been instrumental in fostering a collaborative and informed dialogue with key stakeholders, including policymakers and government officials," according to the press release.

Commitment

The decision, according to the statement, indicated not just the government's responsiveness but also its dedication to a complete and inclusive decision-making process. Opportunities exist in the motor industry. According to the statement, they may work together to promote policies that support the growth as well as the sustainability of their business and the Ghanaian economy.

"We are grateful to your Eminence for your unwavering support and commitment to the success of CADEG's advocacy initiatives, and we value our partnership," it said. We'd like to thank you again for your contribution to the attainment of our objective."
