The Ministry of Sports has approved the Black Stars spending 10 days in South Africa before of the AFCON in Ivory Coast.

 



On Sunday, December 31, 2023, the Black Stars will convene in Johannesburg, South Africa, to begin preparations for next month's TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations Cote D'Iviore 2023.


The squad will spend about 10 days in South Africa preparing for Africa's premier competition, which will be held in Cote D'Ivoire from Saturday, January 13 to Sunday, February 11, 2024.










Ghana will play Botswana in a friendly match in Johannesburg on Monday, January 8, 2024, before going to Abidjan for the competition two days later.


The Technical team would want to make it clear that the training sessions are not open to the general public or the media.


The Black Stars are in Group B with the likes of Egypt, Cape Verde, and Mozambique. On Sunday, January 14, Ghana will kick off her campaign against Cape Verde. On Thursday, January 18, 2024, the squad will face Egypt before facing Mozambique in the final Group B game on Monday, January 22, 2024.
