When things was going against us last season, several of us went to Antoa, and they thought it was amusing; football is like that; they should understand - Sarfo Gyamfi responds to the press conference held by Hearts.

A report by former Kumasi Asante Kotoko player Sarfo Gyamfi, the Hearts of Oak fans' leadership claimed while watching the game at the Baba Yara stadium that the referee who managed the game between Hearts of Oak and Kotoko was extremely excellent.

Following Hearts of Oak's 2-3 defeat to Kotoko, the fans' leadership held a news conference at Accra Sports Stadium to detail how referees have been defrauding Hearts of Oak from the start of the 2023-24 Ghana Premier League.

The NCC leadership labelled Referee Collins Amoah as an agent who denied them victory on the day because of some of the judgements he made in favour of Kotoko.

They contended that two of Asante Kotoko's goals should not have stood.

Sarfo Gyamfi, in a harsh rebuttal to the NCC-organized news conference, stated that he is amazed at how the NCC leadership is now portraying the referee after they lost the game.

Sarfo said that he was seated next to NCC Chairman and Hearts Oak PRO Elvis Herman and Kobby Jones, who were arguing during the game that the referee was extremely excellent because of the freekicks he was awarding Hearts of Oak.

"I was in the VIP section with their NCC Chairman Elvis and the PRO, Kobby Jones, watching the game." They said the referee was really good since he gave them so many fouls in front of Kotoko's 18-yard box.

I'm amazed they held a news conference to say these things against the referee.

They should learn that in football, things might go your way or your opponent's way. When things were going against us last season, several of us fled to Antoa," Sarfo Gyamfi remarked in an interview with Joe Laka on Kessben TV.
