Israel and Hamas have agreed to a cease-fire in exchange for the release of 50 captives.

 

 

1.Israel and Hamas have reached an agreement to free 50 captives held in Gaza during a four-day cease-fire.

2.The beginning of the pause will be declared within the next 24 hours; if successful, it will be the first break in warfare since October 7th.

3.On Wednesday morning, Israel stated that its ground and air operations in Gaza will continue prior to the truce.

4.According to Hamas, the agreement would result in the release of 150 Palestinian women and minors from Israeli prisons.









5.After the initial four-day respite, up to 150 Palestinians, as well as 50 captives from Gaza, might be freed.


6.Israel's administration claims that the battle is far from done, pledging to "complete the elimination of Hamas."


7.On October 7, Israel launched an airstrike on Gaza after Hamas fighters breached the border, killing 1,200 Palestinians and kidnapping nearly 240 others.


8.According to Gaza's Hamas-run health ministry, more than 14,000 Palestinians have been killed in Israel's war, including more than 5,000 children.
